Phoenix Contact Romania, the local branch of the world leader in broadband technologies, doubled its turnover in the past 3 years. This growth has been possible thanks to the more efficient organization of its activities, favored by the use of the integrated solutions SeniorERP and SeniorVisualBI.
Phoenix Contact Romania was founded in 2005 as a subsidiary 100% owned by the Phoenix Contact GmbH & Co company from Blomberg, Germany. With a market presence of 80 years, Phoenix Contact is a leader in the production of components for electrical connection and industrial automation technology.
In 2009, after studying several local and international offerings, Phoenix Contact Romania has chosen the ERP system provided by Senior Software thank to the intuivity of the operational flows, the compatibility with the distribution business and the customer references. SeniorERP replaced at the time an application that blocked the workflows and affected the employees’ productivity.
Currently, Phoenix Contact Romania successfully utilizes both the ERP system, and Business Intelligence solution and managed to double its turnover in the last three years, from 12 million Euro in 2011 to 24 million in 2013. In addition, the customer portfolio has evolved around the same pace. This development was made possible due to a better organization of sales, customer support and logistics activities, which enabled the allocation of additional resources in the directly productive areas.
The specifics of our activity, import and distribution of electrical and electronic products for industry, involves, in addition to logistics services, a quick management of our clients’ requests. When the product portfolio has over 70,000 different items, any of the above mentioned activity becomes a real challenge. We found a very suitable support in SeniorERP because it is a flexible tool, safe in operation and with a simple and intuitive interface. Moreover, the support team constantly helps us adjust the system according to the changes occurring in the operational area. It contributes to establishing correct and rapid decisions and last but not least to maintain a high level of efficiency.
