Interview with Mr Ferenc Pastor, Executive Manager of Therezia Prodcom

1. Who is Therezia and what is the company’s position in the market?

Therezia Prodcom was founded in 1994, and over the course of its history has known a continuous and dynamic growth, imposing itself on the Romanian food market (and not only) through a management strategy that implied/allowed European quality standards for the offered products and services. . We permanently invest in technology, continuous staff training and we use original recipes as well as some traditional ones.

All this, together with our commitment to meet the highest quality standards, have made the name of Therezia known in the field of milk products in Romania and an important player on the cheese market, with more than 50 kinds of products, some of which are certified as traditional products. Currently, Therezia is among the top 5 companies in the country in the field of cheese production.

2. At what point in the company’s development have you decided that an ERP system is needed?

We have decided that it is necessary to implement an ERP business management system in the moment that we surpassed the threshold of 25,000 liters of milk processed per day.

3. What were the problems/situations that the business faced at the moment you decided to implement the ERP system?

Before implementing the ERP system it was impossible to watch in real time the evolution of the relationship between the acquisition price of the raw materials – considering the fact that we purchase cow’s milk from over 1000 private manufacturers – production costs, price and profitability, broken down by product families and individual products.

4. What were the criteria that you had in mind when you chose the ERP system?

The chosen ERP system had to be flexible and adaptable both to the dairy industry specific and strategic needs of the company.

5. Why did you choose the ERP system from Senior Software?

6. What were the reasons to implement a Business Intelligence system, integrated with the ERP?

We have implemented the Business Intelligence solution because we needed high accuracy synthetic data in order to conduct analyses that would lead to the improvement of current activities. The BI system is a forecasting informational platform that supports the decision-making process and helps us follow the evolving future policies and trade strategies.

7. What indicators do you follow with SeniorVisualBI and what is the importance you believe it has for a company?

We use SeniorVisualBI for tracking the evolution of the relationship between costs and prices, broken down on product families and within them on individual products. In addition, it helps up determine the performance – volume and profitability – both of the products as well as of the marketing and sales activities. With the help of the cost center analyses we can determine cost and effectiveness (the added value) of each Department separately.
These data are of crucial importance in terms of tracking and improving the efficiency of the manufacturing process and efficiency and profitability of the sales process.

8. What future plans do you have in regards to your business and how do you think the solutions provided by Senior Software will assist in their accomplishment?

In the future we want to expand the range of offered products on the market through the development, testing and manufacturing of new products and product families. At the same time, we aim at developing both geographically (internal and external) as well as in depth the sales activity.
Considering all this, we think about the informational support provided by SeniorERP system as a “sin qua non” condition for the launch of the entire process.
