Lumy Tools, a national distributor of construction tools, recently implemented ERP, SFA and Business Intelligence solutions from Senior Software, in order to ensure a secure and high performant integrated system, which will be used to manage the entire distribution workflows.
With a turnover of approximately EUR 9.6 million in 2014, Lumy Tools is among the top 5 strongest local players in the tool distribution industry. The company imports around 1,800 products distributed both through networks of super and hypermarkets, as well as through traditional retail – DIY (do-it-yourself) stores, department stores and construction materials warehouses.
With our workload increasing, we wanted to have more stability and safety in terms of corporate data. The implementation of Senior Software’s integrated solutions had positive consequences reflected by the work of each Lumy Tools’ employee, and definitely gave us the satisfaction of a job well done. The SeniorERP solution implementation allowed Lumy Tools to manage all activities in an integrated manner. Moreover, the intuitive interface of the application and tailored business workflows led to automate operational processes and increase employee productivity. Currently, any client order goes directly into the ERP system – whether it comes from hypermarkets or field agents. The integration of the two sales channels was possible by implementing EDI solutions to automate communication with large retail chains, and SeniorSFA for managing the activities of sales agents.
Regarding the SFA solution, it has helped reduce the time of sale, providing the agents with real-time access, directly from the mobile device, to data about inventory, characteristics of goods, prices, customers, and also quick ways of taking orders and bill collection.
Once inside the ERP, all client orders are routed to the warehouse. Here they are prepared for delivery, along with the sale documents generated automatically from SeniorERP. Another extremely useful functionality offered by the ERP system is the possibility of grouping orders by delivery areas predefined within SeniorERP, which enabled significant reduction of the time assigned to this activity.
The need for real-time access to company’s data determined Lumy Tools managers to implement SeniorVisualBI – the Business Intelligence system developed on the Tableau Software platform, a global leader in data visualization. With its help, managers can track sales trends on articles, salespeople, customers or sales areas, and other indicators relevant to the distribution activity.
